Hi 25 years ago rockhopping along the Caboolture River myself and my two brothers saw a black cat sunning itself on a large rock at the junction of two creeks we were about 100 m away , the cat saw us stood up streched and with one leap disappeared into the bush , when we got to the spot and had a look round we noticed that the rock that the cat was on was a very large rock and what we thought was a normal size cat must have been very large and its leap into the bush was at least 15 to 20 feet . I believe it could be a panther , have you heard of any other sighing in this area the section of river is from Rockberg to Mt Mee. looking forward to hearing from you regards Brett
