In approx. 1992 myself and three mates were returning home from a hunting trip in North / West N.S.W. at a town called Wanarring when we crossed over a dry creek  and we all happened to look to our left at the same time and thought we saw a large black fox. But to our suprise it was a large black cat and it was approximatly 80 to 100 yards up the creek bed. At that distance it looked about three quarters the height of a german shepard. We pulled up and I grabbed my rifle and one of my mates grabbed his bow and arrow, we stalked it up the creek bed for some distance and all you could hear was the birds squacking up ahead of us, it bolted not to be seen again. Colin Colley.
